Vivaldi, Schumann, Debussy & Prokofiev
Both award-winning performers, Aleksandra Henszel from Poland and Maksim Štšura from Estonia bring a wide-ranging programme of music for flute and piano from across the centuries. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal College of music, Henszel is both a fine chamber musician and has also played in many leading orchestras under conductors such as Dudamel, Ashkenazy and Jurowski. Maksim Štšura is highly regarded as a chamber musician and has been a prize winner in many competitions, amongst them the International Chopin Competition. He is currently also researching piano transcription as doctoral research, in particular the transcriptions of 20th century orchestral music.
