London-based Belarusian pianist of Tatar origin, Maya Irgalina is an internationally acclaimed soloist and collaborative artist. Her UK performances include prestigious venues and festivals such as Wigmore Hall, the Barbican, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Oscar Wilde Weekend, and the Machynlleth Festival.

Highlights of Maya’s 2025 season include a recital with Grammy-winning mezzo-soprano Fleur Barron, performances at the Piano Week Festival in Dulwich and at Razumovsky Academy in London. She has also been named a Making Music Recommended Artist for 2025–2027.

Maya has garnered numerous awards at international competitions including Dudley, Sydney, Maria Yudina, and Scriabin, and she is a recipient of the Gold Medal, the highest accolade for solo performance from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). Her Wigmore Hall debut followed her success in the Worshipful Company of Musicians auditions, and her performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, ABC (Australia), and Belarusian Radio. As a soloist, she has appeared with orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Belarusian Opera House Orchestra, Batumi Symphony Orchestra, and the RNCM Symphony Orchestra.

A passionate and sought-after collaborative pianist, Maya has worked extensively with singers such as Fleur Barron, Ruby Philogene, and Nicola Said. She was a Britten-Pears Young Artist, featured in Semyon Bychkov’s Beloved Friend project dedicated to Tchaikovsky, and received The Paul Hamburger Prize from Graham Johnson. She is also an alumna of the Franz Schubert Institute in Baden bei Wien, Austria.
